Sorry if this is a strange question, but why did you pick this job in the first place?

[One is the product of the other, but they're not the same exact thing.]

The job with the Opera was sort of...something I needed. My last situation wasn't going great, and I had to get out of there fast before things got any worse. [He chuckles a little, though there's not much humor to it.] Management showed up just in time, I didn't even know who they were then.

They did ask me before signing me up for this show! I think they just assumed I'd say yes, but there wasn't really anything else to work on, so...
