THE BOX OFFICE
This is where you can meet privately with the Balladeer! The Balladeer is almost always around during the day; just knock.
(Secretly, the door's usually not locked if he's inside. But you wouldn't want to be rude, would you?)

Suit yourself. Someone'll try for the win.
I've been noticing that the Balladeer's spending more time with the cast. How's that been going?

We'll see how it goes for them.
As for the Balladeer, it certainly seems like the rest of the cast really trusts him. His charisma has easily won over more than half the cast to be sympathetic towards him. He might even know more about a lot of them than I do, at least when it comes to the people who think they're too good to trust me.
[ He obviously means Anna. And Anna's friends. ]
You'd probably do best to ask him, in any case.

Oh, I have. But he's not gonna tell me if he starts crossing any more lines.
Keep an eye on him.

Sounds like there's some tension between you two. Understood, though. I'll keep you updated.

Does your cast really think I won't notice you all disappearing into foggy rooms every couple of days?

Funny you should mention that. I think Billy Harris started doing that, but if he thought you wouldn't catch on, he's a lot dumber than he looks. Speaking of this particular Billy, he suspects there is a mole and has been sniffing around for information for a long time now.
I've been working with him to keep suspicion off of me, but I've found misdirection works better than outright lies. Let me know if there's any information you'd like me to bring anything to his attention and send him looking elsewhere.

Misdirection is pretty useful, isn't it? What else have you all been discussing in there?

Management,
Everyone is trading information, but it's nothing you wouldn't already know. The cast seems to think the tuning fork was some kind of clue as to who the mole is, which is adorable. There's also talk about having a sleepover on Thursday night to try and keep someone from murdering someone, so if you have any way to prevent that, I'd let the Balladeer know.
- HRH Hans Westergaard

That's cute. It's not gonna help.
Do you think you're in danger? It'd be easy enough to make one of the others look like the mole.

They think they can try, so I'm not about to tell them otherwise. Watching them come together only to fail is kind of amusing
Surprisingly, they've been fairly civil about the discussion so far so I don't think I'm in any danger yet. There's nothing that ties me to the so-called tuning fork or moving Eliza's body, but if you want to cast suspicion on anyone else, feel free.
- HRH Hans Westergaard

Don't you worry. I'll take care of it.
Anything else going on down there you want to tell me about? There's been a lot of secret meeting time just for that.

Thanks.
Besides the smoke machines and the sleepovers? Well, people are also talking about going places in pairs, but I doubt that'll be much more successful. And of course everyone is worried about the Balladeer since he keeps being so nice and accommodating to the cast. But I doubt he's actually broken any rules by making people care about him.
- HRH Hans Westergaard
P.S. If you're going to pin the mole idea on anyone, I would go with Winslow, or perhaps Billy Flynn, though he's pretty unflappable. Much as I'd like to have it pinned or Anna or Billy, no one would believe that either of them could lie for this long, this well.

Interesting. I'll keep that in mind.
Since you've been so helpful, here's a little tip. Figure out where you wanna be by Tuesday morning.

Thanks for the heads up. Are you planning something special for the motive announcement this week?
- HRH Hans Westergaard

Yeah, I think I'll cook up a little something. I'll follow up with you on that tomorrow.
- Management
LOL LET'S PRETEND I ACTUALLY DID THIS ON TUESDAY
HRH Hans Westergaard -
Don't worry about killing someone. We'll see who really takes the bait and frame them or the victim as mole. The dead can't defend themselves too easy.

Management,
Thanks for the save. Are we seriously going to be in trouble for sleeping outside our rooms like this? I would have brought a blanket if I'd known.
- HRH Hans Westergaard

I'll give you a pass if you need. Just don't do it in front of the others.
- Management

Thanks. That'll help.
What happens if we fall asleep outside our rooms, exactly? I'll need to know if anyone asks.

Understood. Guess we'll need a lot of coffee to make it through this week's trial.

Quite the case we had this week! I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. It seems fitting for the Balladeer to have died like he did. The rules were made to be upheld, after all. I'm sure the rest of the cast will be reeling from it for a while, but I'll keep you updated if any new plans arise.
I'm really looking forward to our grand finale. Let me know if there's anything I can do to make sure things go smoothly.
- HRH Hans Westergaard

More fitting than you know, I think.
But we all knew he wouldn't last long in this kind of work. Narrators are supposed to serve the narrative, not their own sentimentality.

No room for shifts in the narrative, huh? I get that. It seems like everyone needs to remember to play their roles properly, but now that we're approaching the finale things it feels like the cast is finally embracing it.
Let me know if you need me for anything. I'm looking forward to seeing how you decide to end the show.

I'll decide where and how this narrative ends. But you're all doing a lot better now.
Guess I just needed to make an example of someone.
